Description
Karako with an ‘uchiwa’ fan and a small Monkey. An extremely fine ivory model of a karako in a costume finely incised with foral pattern. He has an uchiwa fan in one hand the other holds a rope which is gripped by a small monkey. All details are finely and sensitively carved. Lightly stained for effect. Nice patina.
